A1 to Acquire Conexio Metro in Serbia

A1 Group continues to up its presence in Serbia. After last year's acquisition of part of the infrastructure of the Serbian provider Conexio, A1 has now signed the share purchase agreement for Conexio Metro, a newly registered company, spun off by Conexio. With this transaction, A1 Serbia will be able to offer convergent products on its fiber network in 2025

“For us, this means we are further successfully developing our growth strategy. Serbia is the last market in our footprint now turning convergent. 300 km of fiber cable and 42,000 homes passed open up new opportunities for services and applications. We will be able to expand our footprint by using this infrastructure,” commented Alejandro Plater, CEO of A1 Group.

Conexio remains an active company and is not the subject of the acquisition. The completion of the transaction is, inter alia, subject to the applicable merger control clearance. As agreed between the parties, details regarding the transaction were not released.
