IBM and Pasqal announced an update to their intended collaboration to build new, integrated frameworks for quantum-centric supercomputing with Qiskit.
Gideon and Dot Foods announced a commercial partnership in advancing operational excellence through the adoption of autonomous mobile robot technologies within the (un)loading bay. The collaboration underscores both companies’ commitment to leveraging state-of-the-art solutions that drive productivity, safety, and efficiency.
One of the main goals of this partnership is enhanced productivity and safety. Implementing flexible, reliable, and scalable automation should optimize workflow and improve safety protocols across the entire Dot Foods network. Companies also expect to empower employees with mobile automated robots, allowing them to focus on higher-value-added work. Another goal is to utilize automation to strengthen Dot Foods’ competitive advantage and support sustained growth.
“At Dot Foods, the pursuit of innovation has been a driving force since day one. Technology adoption is one of the key focus areas where we need to prioritize experimentation to understand how new tech can give us a competitive advantage in the supply chain industry. We partnered with Gideon to implement a solution for automating trailer (un)loading. We were unsure if the solutions available could meet our operational expectations while handling our process variability. Gideon was transparent about its capabilities and how it relates to our operations. They were beyond diligent when it came to understanding our process. Productivity and reliability are paramount when adopting automation, and Gideon delivers both,” said Troy Schenk, Dot Foods Director of Automation.
“Dot Foods provided us with a dynamic environment to truly showcase our capabilities. With over 1500 suppliers, multiple pallet types, and different loading patterns, these applications were filled with variability, and we were excited to see our tech rising to those challenges. The partnership also speaks to Gideon’s ability to effectively serve the entire food distribution industry. Most importantly, Dot Foods is a family-owned business of over 60 years, and witnessing firsthand how this is reflected in their passion for team members and their customers was inspiring,” stated Josip Ćesić, Gideon CEO.
