In mid-2022, we came up with the idea of turning our two television shows, ICTbusiness TV and ICT on Ti, into our own television channel and we immediately started with the programming idea, as well as the technical implementation. Although it seems very simple today, it was actually not at all.
The IPTV channel began test broadcasting at the end of 2022, more precisely in the fall of that year, and already at the end of 2022, our TV channel was included on the first domestic IPTV platform.
As for the programming part, the TV program is broadcast 24 hours a day, from 9 am to 11 pm, TV shows are broadcast every full hour, and in between them there are the latest news and advertisements. The latest news is generated from the content of our ICTbusiness.info portal, and is automatically converted into video content. So in one day we broadcast our 15 television shows, ICTbusiness and ICT on Ti, and this takes place alternately.
We broadcast our news from 11 pm to 9 am, and we hope that there will be new interesting content soon.
As for the technical part, the IPTV platform is based on a server computer and software for creating and distributing signals. The hardware includes a video matrix that multiplies the signal, or TV channel, which is then transferred to special encoders that then "deliver" the signal to IPTV and streaming service providers.
Currently, five separate encoders are available to IPTV service providers on the H.264 and HEVC or H.265 protocols. In addition, there is a hardware component for "converting" the portal into a video signal for the IPTV server platform.
In addition to the signal itself, we also deliver an EPG (electronic program guide) to IPTV service providers so that our viewers can see what awaits them on the TV program.
On most IPTV and streaming platforms, it is possible to watch the program up to 7 days in the past.
