Hrvatski Telekom

The "Tools for Modern Times" project, conducted by Hrvatski Telekom in collaboration with the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation (ERF), was awarded the best in the "Telecommunications" category at the SABRE Awards EMEA 2025 in London. This recognition, one of the most prestigious in the public relations, brand management, and reputation industry, affirms the quality and impact of the project, which was selected from over 2000 submissions from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

"Tools for Modern Times" is a national preventive program designed to provide children and young people with tools for safer, healthier, and more responsible use of digital technologies. The program is implemented in primary schools across Croatia. It includes 12 structured workshops for students as well as lectures for parents and teachers. The program aims to strengthen and develop socio-emotional skills in children, which are essential for responsible behavior in the digital environment. So far, over 5,600 sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade students have participated, and more than 355 facilitators from over 150 schools have been trained. The program is already showing tangible results, making children safer and more aware of the challenges of the digital age.

"This recognition confirms the importance of investing in socially responsible projects that bring real change. Tools for Modern Times is an example of how a structured approach can have a profoundly positive impact on society, particularly among younger generations. An additional value is the collaboration with the academic community in implementing socially responsible business practices and the direct transfer of knowledge into practice," said Igor Vukasović, Director of Corporate Communications at Hrvatski Telekom.
