Austria-based operator group A1 has delivered solid financial results in 2024. Revenue and EBITDA grew by 3.1% and 5.1% respectively, driven by significant growth in the international markets.

Group revenues rose by 3.1% to €5.41 billion driven by service revenue growth. EBITDA increased by 5.1%, exceeding €2 billion for the first time. The net result for 2024 was €627 million. In mobile communications, the number of subscribers rose by 7.4% to a total of 27.1 million in 4Q24. In the fixed-line business, the number of broadband revenue-generating units increased by 2.1%.

“We have reached convergence in all seven core markets and started the roll-out of fixed-line services in Serbia. In line with our dividend policy, the Management Board plans to propose an increased dividend of €0.40 (€0.36 in 2023) per share to the Annual General Meeting, subject to the approval of the Supervisory Board,” said Alejandro Plater, CEO of A1 Group.

“Driven by our strong performance in CEE, A1 Group delivered a record-breaking year with unprecedented levels of customer base, EBITDA, and revenue. A1 Group will continue to focus on expanding its fiber and 5G networks both in Austria and internationally. We expect CAPEX excluding spectrum investments of around €850 million in 2025,” said Thomas Arnoldner, Deputy CEO of A1 Group.
